It’s that time of year again - Teacher Appreciation Week is almost here! Our Teacher Support Committee has put together a spa-tacular week of fun for our teachers/staff. We have a plan for every day (and hope you'll sign up to join us for an hour or two during the week of events) and also have opportunities for donations (individual drinks, gift cards - all amounts and varieties, fun school supplies/trinkets/crafts).

DONATIONS

We're asking for donations beginning now through Friday, May 9th. All donations will need to be delivered by the end of school on May 9th and can be sent with your child or left in the front office. Please be cognizant of LEAP testing (April 30 - May 2 and May 5 - 7) when dropping off donations. NOTE: If you send any items in with your child, make sure that they are labeled "FOR the PTO" so that their teachers know those items should be sent to the front office and aren't for them to keep.

We need help making sure everything we've planned during Teacher Appreciation Week runs smoothly. We're also providing our teachers/staff with an end of the year luncheon after the students leave on Thursday, May 22nd. Sign up to volunteer below!

SHOUT OUT YOUR APPRECIATION

Give a shout out and share your appreciation for individual teachers and staff. Complete as many shout outs as you want. These will be compiled and shared with each teacher and staff member as part of their goody bag for the week. This is one of the favorite traditions we started a few years ago. Teachers and staff mention it warms their heart and is a nice reminder that they can look back on each year of the impact they make on our children and families.

JOIN THE TEACHER SUPPORT COMMITTEE

Want to be part of the committee that shows appreciation and support for our teachers year round? Consider joining the Teacher Support Committee with the PTO. This committee meets monthly during the school year (usually virtually) and provides numerous opportunities to engage and give back to FLAIM.

Some initiatives coordinated through the Teacher Support Committee include: teacher supplies requests, monthly appreciation events, professional development day refreshments, and teacher appreciation week.
