Why give?

    The Big Give raises money for the BR FLAIM PTO. PTO funds go toward campus improvements, administrative needs, and teacher and student development and appreciation.

  • ✽

    The money earned through the Big Give will allow the PTO to continue providing items and experiences that support the kids, teachers, and administrators next school year.

  • ✽

    Your gift will help fulfill some of the school's wish list for the 2025-2026 which includes: color printer for teachers to use, risers for school productions, window wraps for the upstairs classroom, FLAIM Step and Repeat, and snowball machine for PBIS and school celebrations.

  • ✽

    Funds provide monthly teacher appreciation activities, ancillary and administrative staff appreciation days, a full week of teacher appreciation in May, and $100 gift cards to each teacher to purchase classroom supplies.

  • ✽

    Donations allow PTO to host events such as Back to School Social, Trunk or Treat, Goodies with Grownups, 4th and 5th Grade Glow Party, FLAIM Fest, Men’s Club BBQ, Gumbo Cookoff, and Kid Appreciation Day (aka Hotdog Day).

  • ✽

    PTO funds private duty police officer for carpool and have provided playground toys, new trees and shrubs around campus, new signage in the front office, and yard signs and stickers for families.

Rules and Ways to Win

    • From Monday, 3/24 to Thursday, 3/27 at 11:59 PM

    • Top 3 classes with the Most Dollars Raised during this time period will win gift bags, and first/second/third place teachers will receive $100/$50/$25.

    • Top 3 classes with the Highest Number of Unique Donors of $10 or more during this time period will win gift bags, and first/second/third place teachers will receive $50/$20/$10.

    • A class can only place in one category, Most Dollars Raised or Highest Number of Unique Donors.

    • In cases of a tie, the earliest donations will count first.

    • Prizes will be distributed to classes on Friday, 3/28.

    • *** These donations DO NOT count towards the total for the Big Give grand prize competition since this is the early giving period. However, these donations will count toward the overall PTO fundraising goal. This is a great way for classes who don’t usually compete to win the grand prize to win some fun prizes. ***

    • Top 3 classes with the Most Dollars Raised for a 24-hour period will win a prize, and first/second/third place teachers will receive $30/$20/$10.

    • Top 3 classes with the Highest Number of Unique Donors of $10 or more for a 24-hour period will win a prize, and first/second/third place teachers will receive $30/$20/$10.

    • A class can only place in one category, Most Dollars Raised or Highest Number of Unique Donors.

    • In cases of a tie, the earliest donations will count first.

    • Prizes will be distributed to classes the following school day.

    • These donations do count toward the total for the Big Give grand prize competition.

    • *** Once a class places top 3 in a category for Early Giving or a previous Lightning Day, they are no longer in the running for upcoming Lightning Days. This allows other classes a chance to win. ***

    • Lightning Day Dates:

      • Monday, 3/31

      • Wednesday, 4/2

      • Friday, 4/4

      • Tuesday, 4/8

      • Thursday, 4/10

  • If you donate to the Big Give and can show proof of employer match by Friday, 4/4, your employer match donation will count toward the class total for the Grand Prize. Email pto@brflaimpto.org with proof of employer donation.

    • Donations from Friday, 3/28 to Monday, 4/14 at 11:59 PM count toward the grand prize.

    • First Place: pizza party, treat bags, $250 for each teacher

    • Second Place: ice cream/popsicles, treat bags, $100 for each teacher

    • Third Place: cupcakes, treat bags, $50 for each teacher

    • Honorable Mention: treat bags, $25 for each teacher

    • *** Top 3 classes with the Most Dollars Raised will win First, Second, and Third. Honorable Mention goes to the class with the Most Dollars per Student ratio that is not in the top 3. ***
