Hate it when schools send your kids home with items to sell door-to-door as a fundraiser, multiple times a year?
At FLAIM - you don’t have to! The PTO activates the community’s support through direct donations ONCE each school year.
Every donation, no matter the size, has a positive impact!
Each student who raises at least $25 in donations during The BIG Give will receive an individual recognition.
Classes with the highest total donations or highest average donation per student will win awards! (See below for rules and ways to win. Big Bear Days happen each Wednesday during The BIG Give.)
The BIG Give runs from Saturday, March 28 to Wednesday, April 15 at 10:00 PM CT.

Recognitions - Qualify to receive a different one each week
April 2nd: Plush bear (4-inches tall)
April 8th: Stackable bear multi-pencil
April 15th: Slap Bracelet
Provided to each student who raises at least $25 in the week leading up to that Bear Day. (For example, the April 8th qualification period runs from 10:01 PM on April 2nd to 10:00 PM on April 8th)
Each student can receive only one individual recognition per week.

Employer Matches
Confirmed employer matching donations received during The BIG Give will count toward class and individual prizes. Email pto@brflaimpto.org with confirmation of the employer matching donation BEFORE 10:00 PM on the designated Bear Day to be considered for that qualifying period.
Ties
In the case of ties, the first class that raised the dollar amount of the tie will be awarded.
Other
The official time for a donation is the time stamp provided by the PTO website host, SquareSpace.
In the case of unforeseen events or unusual circumstances, the PTO Executive Committee will determine awards.
Why give?

The Big Give raises money for the BR FLAIM PTO. PTO funds go toward campus improvements, administrative needs, and teacher and student development and appreciation.

The money earned through the Big Give will allow the PTO to continue providing items and experiences that support the kids, teachers, and administrators next school year.

Your gift will help fulfill some of the school's wish list for the 2025-2026 which includes: color printer for teachers to use, risers for school productions, window wraps for the upstairs classroom, FLAIM Step and Repeat, and snowball machine for PBIS and school celebrations.

Funds provide monthly teacher appreciation activities, ancillary and administrative staff appreciation days, a full week of teacher appreciation in May, and $100 gift cards to each teacher to purchase classroom supplies.

Donations allow PTO to host events such as Back to School Social, Trunk or Treat, Goodies with Grownups, 4th and 5th Grade Glow Party, FLAIM Fest, Men’s Club BBQ, Gumbo Cookoff, and Kid Appreciation Day (aka Hotdog Day).

PTO funds private duty police officer for carpool and have provided playground toys, new trees and shrubs around campus, new signage in the front office, and yard signs and stickers for families.
